was captured by the photographers

own 13 year old daughter

who is aspiring to be a photographer for her school's year book staff.

Leslie, the artist

My whole life I have been inspired to create. As a child I remember waking with ideas and running out to the yard in my pajamas to start on them. My art teacher in highschool once told me that he really loved that I loved making art. As I was working on one project I always had an idea for the next. When asked what I wanted to be when I grew up I proudly answered an artist! I was given the ridiculous response about starving artists. However creating was just who I was. When I had my second child is when I picked up the camera. Its when I fell in love with photography. Photographing my children is what inspired me. That was over 10 years ago and the passion has just grown. With photography its not just about creating art but about creating happiness through my art. I realized early on how special photography is and what a great opportunity it is to photograph people and their lives. I also have many other creative outlets like my home design and sign crafting. I can successfully say I grew up to be an artist.

Over the years I have learned the real power of good photos and the joy they bring. I run into past clients and they still tell me how much they love their portraits. I have never taken those compliments lightly. There is something special about being able to bring people joy through my art and talent. I have been moved to tears when someone emails and tells me they are thankful that they have pictures of a loved one that has passed and how much those pictures mean to them. It never ceases to amaze me that I have had some small impact on other's lives like that. I am always honored at the chance to capture small glimpses of the lives of others.                                   -Leslie
